Since 2001, Kidz Klozet in Mobile, AL has been located in Mobile, AL with our giant children’s consignment sales and new children’s clothing liquidation sales. Our founders are dedicated to the community and always eager to support the residents of the Gulf Coast. Michelle Huguley and Monica McGhee, sisters from the Mobile area, started Kidz Klozet in an effort to serve a need they saw for moms to find gently used items in an organized environment. Kidz Klozet was born and held it’s first sale at the armory in Springhill. From then it moved to another location near municipal park until the walls burst at the seams with the Gulf Coast’s finest consignment items twice a year. The sale then moved to it’s permanent home, 3679 Airport Blvd, where it is today!
For years the sisters ran the business together but in December 2014, Monica hung up her smock and retired to a life of grand babies & bon bons. Michelle continues to run Kidz Klozet today, 5 time local Nappie award winning “BEST OF” category for kids consignment sale & also nominated for “BEST OF” kids new clothing in 2016 & 2017!

Expert from Article dated March 2010
Almost 850 families made a huge difference to our southern Alabama and Mississippi community in mid-March by recycling over 50,000 gently-used maternity, baby and children’s items at a consignment sale conducted by Kidz Klozet in Mobile. Shoppers were able to purchase quality items at a fraction of their original cost.
The co-owners of Kidz Klozet, Michelle Huguley and Monica McGhee, allowed 12 local charities to sell tickets to a special preview night. The charities received 100% of the ticket sale proceeds and a portion of the sales for the evening. After the conclusion of the consignment sale, the remaining donated items were offered in a “Parking Lot Sale” to benefit the American Cancer Society, raising over $2,300. When it was all said and done, if there were still items, they were donated to Penelope House.
Huguley and McGhee, who are sisters, are strong supporters of cancer organizations, having lost several family members to the disease. Huguley is a breast cancer survivor. They are committed to helping raise money and to educate the community on cancer awareness and prevention. Shoppers at the sales held by Kidz Klozet can rent shopping baskets to benefit the American Cancer Society, as well as contribute in containers throughout the store during their semi-annual consignment and new clothing liquidation sales at 3679 Airport Boulevard in Mobile, AL.
